Accounting to banking
I have 12+ years of public and private accounting. Would like to get into banking. Does anyone have a similar experience, that would be willing to share ideas on how to make that change? TIA.
I think it may be a really hard time to get into banking. Most banks are laying off like crazy due to the sub-prime mess right now.
Tess I have noticed the opposite. All the banks around here are always looking for more bankers. My wife is a teller now but is in line to be a banker by summer. It is not a big paying job like you are probably used to but it is a step up. My thought would be that with your experience in accounting you would be a shoe in, but ask around first before you quit. | |
