I'm an Adabas DBA & I'm currently studying for my MCITP to be an SQL Server 2005 DBA. I'm also from the Caribbean and used to work in MD, USA as an Adabas DBA. I've worked as a systems developer with Fox and I've had some training in DB2 but my main experience is with Adabas, When I look at jobs for an SQL Server DBA they require someone with lots of experience. How can I enter this market? I'm willing to work with any company as a junior just to get the experience & hopefully things will work out once I start working for the company. I also have an application in for Canadian residency in with the Canadian Embassy but I'm also open to living in the U.S. Does anyone have any advice?
