going from the rental counter to elect
first off hows everyone doing in their job or career transistions,let me introduce myself my name is jerry i have worked in the equipment rental industry for i would say approx 20yrs started off as a yardman,then moved up to dispatcher-counter rentals,i worked as a assistant manager,profit center manager,parts dept.manager,office clerk ive come to find out that after all these years working for all these rentals houses which i would probabaly say 8 different companys the big guys ok,i struggled all these putting all my heart into my work somtimes putting in 12+everyday ok id completely forgot about me i was concerned with trying to make that extra dollar,after all these years only to land my last job making a mere $18.00 hrly for all my years experience wow thats sad,well i got fired from my last job due to me making $18.00 and cause i was also a older gentleman as well,well anyways this whole experience opened my eyes for me call it a blessing in disguise,well i am now training in the electrical field,i will recieve my certificate of completion august of 2008 meantime i am collecting e d d which i have never done in my whole life but hey i am getting paid to train in something i really like and i am also going to take up another notch to further my education with a more extensive electrical training course once ive finished this one otjtp program i get paid plus i learn a skill that i like and paid a very nice salary @ the same time so you see it takes courage and sometimes things happen like me getting fired to open our eyes cause we get in the comfort zone wrong thing to do well i am 47 yrs old and im not going to give up yet im going to finish my schooling and get out there and kick some ### we can all do it but we need to step out in faith and believe we can do it cause no one is going to give you anything for free,i hope this is a blessing to somone out there reading this,ciao for now lets keep pushing ok. | |
