reasons for leaving current job
My question is when prospective employers ask the question during an interview "why are you leaving your current position" I get tongue tied. I've been at my current job for 15 years and I need a change from the boredom and monotony, but don't know the best way to answer. Any advice would be appreciated.
I just changed jobs about three months ago. I was bored out of my mind. The money was fine but it was not fun going to work. It took me about three weeks to find a new job (I did not quit my job while looking). I told my new employeer the truth. In my case though, I wanted to get out of running a computer network and work for an anti-virus company. I blew away my current boss in the interview by spending about 40 hours learning how their software worked. He knew I was clearly interested in working for them. Bill
Tell the employer that you have gone as far as you can at that company and need a change which will provide you with more of challenge. | |
