MBA student looking for input
I am not sure if this is the right place to put this as I really don't know if it could be considered changing careers but anyway. Here goes my question. Currently, I am an MBA business student with an undergraduate degree in IT. I have been seriously considering the food industry for management. Why? I have found even though it's a little hectic, I get my most enjoyment when I do it. What is more, I actually have fun the more learning I do and the more I want to get involved with it. Sounds odd doesn't it? So here's the question..How odd is it to want to switch? If there is anyone who has done it feel free to give me your thoughts (good, bad, and ugly) I'm just curious if there is someone who's already been there done that and can giveme some solid input on if it is actually worth looking into. For what it's worth, I was a waitress and a buffet server years ago for quite awhile. I even hosted bar in a saloon (same place) so I do know what it's like, just haven't done it in a long time. Thanks for your input! Sue | |
