Military Career Transition
I will have completed my BS in Information Technology Management before my separation date from the military. I currently have my AS in Information Systems Technology and a Top Secret security clearance. All of the posts that other ex-military members are starting to worry me about the possibility of finding employment after my date of separation. I had the idea that I wouldn't have a problem of finding a good job in the future. I would like to seek a career as a Systems Analyst. Right now my job consists of operating new information systems in a control center environment. Are there any other kinds of training that I should seek right now to break into the IT field? What steps should I take to make sure to have a smooth transition? Hi, Have you looked into Healthcare IT? I'm a former military member, and I was a (civilian) Systems Analyst, and there's a big demand out there! Check out this website to see if it's something you might be interested in. They're having their annual conference in 2/08 in Orlando. http://www.himss.org/ASP/index.asp
Just an idea. Good luck!
