Need advice, please. Not sure what to tell prospective employers. I am currently in a bad situation. I have been employed at a company for 2 years. I got along great with one of my bosses until recently when the girl who sits next to me and I had a falling out because I got tired of doing her work while she puts head phones on, sings outloud, talks constantly, and is never at her desk. This girl is constantly going into his office and talk about me and say things. The girl and my boss are very friendly. This girl has been causing problems for me, both in the office and outside of the office. She's a major gossiper, and I made the mistake of befriender her at one point. Needless to say, we no longer get along and honestly, I'd like to catch her outside, but I'm more mature than that. The thought is sometimes pleasant, though. I make good money. I get great reviews from my bosses. I have 17 years of experience doing what I do and I'm good at what I do. Unfortunately, I don't know what to tell new employers as to why I am looking to leave my current position without looking like I can't get along with people. I really enjoyed my job up to the point of her and I falling out, and her getting all these other girls against me. HR is not handling the problem or separating us or really stepping in at all. I see no other option but to get out of my current position. Any advice of finding a new position and what to say? ANY help would be appreciated. Thanks!!! You could pretty much say anything else. Looking for more challenge. Looking for a closer commute, bigger company, smaller company... Anything except that this girl annoys you enough to have you looking for a new job.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, it's come to this and it really bothers me. I figured I would just tell them that the challenges that I thought I was going to receive in this position were just not there. Besides, I would like to get a little closer to my train (25 minute walk after a 45 minute train ride). Thank you for the advice. I do appreciate it! | |
