My job as a mortgage underwriter is beling eliminated in January.  Hard time to search for a job due to time of  year and in the industry I am in.  I need some information on how to get into the insurance field as an underwriter.  Different product, same job function.  After 10 years of mortgage underwriting I think I can be trained/certified to underwriter personal and or business line of insurance.  Anyone out there currently in the field that can help?
