DHL
Ok everyone, Just some advise: If you are trying to start work at a union call center, do not work at DHL. I had my tire slashed twice and when I complained about it a second time, I was given some severance package and then shown the door. What ever happened to protecting your employees? Yeah right, not at DHL. You can also Google workplace bullying, workplace harassment, and there's one more site: http://www.findlaw.com . BTW, did you file a police report contact your shop steward, or call an attorney over workplace issues? You're going to need all the evidence you can get ahold of. You might want to invest in a recording device for your phone, unless you have voicemail plus caller I.D. and a small video camera in case they start playing rough. Best of luck to you; they had no right to do that.
Thanks for the advice. I have decided to move on, which is why I was looking for another position before the crap was hitting the ceiling. Thanks again!!
You are obviously only giving us part of the story. So tell us WHY you are getting singled out? WHY are they targetting you? Something just doesn't make sense.
I was the newest supervisor added to their team. It's a union call center and when the new supervisor, who is not new to supervisoring, does their job, he is retaliated against by the union by two tire slashings. When I brought up the issue of safety and that I was entitled to work in a hostile free enviroment according to our comany handbook, I was offered a severance package. Busto says that if it was a union shop, they should have given you a union handbook that lists what managers can and can not do when you were hired/promoted. "That is why everyone gets a copy of the handbook, so eeveryone knows what to expect. If someone 'new' comes in, and does not follow the expected procedures, trouble will follow." said Busto. Busto wishes you good luck. Busto BTG:lbj
You were a salaried supervisor correct? You reported vandalism to your personal property on company property as a potential safety issue and were severed? What did the severance papers claim as the reason for severance? If it states the tire slashing as the reason, thats illegal. I dont know a single backwoods Tennessee lawyer that wouldn't jump all over that one. There has to be more to the story or DHL is run by a bunch of morons. You need to seek legal counsel over this if there is not more to this story. | |
