Change in careers


I am haveing a problem trying to go back and reshine my previous skills from previous work that I have done, particularly in administrative work.  How do I show potential employers that I am qualified to do the type of work although I havent worked in that field for quite some time. I am able to do the various tasks.. ie. typing, filing, faxing, greeting clients etc, etc.. but I dont have the B.A like some but I am open to learning how office settings work having worked in Customer Service related fields my whole life.. Banking, Telemarketing, Assistant management..
